Bluntman and Chronic

"Look up in the sky! It’s a bird! It’s a plane! It’s... Jay and Silent Bob?"

This is a "special" Jay and Silent Bob work. It is actually Jay and Silent Bob as the comic book superheroes, Bluntman and Chronic, for which Jay and Silent Bob were the inspiration for (as seen in Chasing Amy, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back and their own comic book series).

This work was inspired by a Mallrats promotional photo of Jason Mewes and Kevin Smith as Jay and Silent Bob ( [link] ) this immediately reminded me in Superman... when he needs to change into superman and rips open his shirt to show the S ( [link] and [link] ), so it gave me the idea of uniting these 2 ideas. Then I thought it would be cool if I did it ala a comic book cover. So that explains the title (don't ask why I put in the New Adventures... it just sounded good). That’s about it...
